After earning his Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Texas, in 2003, Mr. Poehl entered University of Texas's
law program, earning his law degree in 2006.

During his undergraduate years, Nick worked as a police dispatcher. He also worked as a Legislative Aide, under Texas State Senator, Frank Madla. While working with Senator Madla's office, Mr. Poehl focused on criminal justice issues, and rural
economic affairs. After graduating, and beginning law school, he clerked for the Texas Attorney General, in the Criminal Law Enforcement Division.

After law school, Nick took a position as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Galveston County, where he prosecuted
criminal cases. This experience equipped him with a thorough understanding of the criminal law process, and prepared him for
a legal career. He remains focused in his dedication to defend the rights of ciminal defendents.

Mr. Poehl is licensed by the Texas Supreme Court to practice in all state, and local, Texas courts.

Nick is a native to Houston, though he has lived all over the United States. In his free time, he is an avid reader, and a huge
sports fan--he loves both college and pro football, but will always remain a loyal UT Longhorns fan.
